8mm, Super 8mm, 16mm Films
How many feet of film fit on a single DVD?
Approximately 2000ft of 8mm film, or 4000ft of 16mm film fit on a single DVD. This roughly works out to be a 2hr long DVD.
Can background music added to silent 8mm or 16mm films?
We offer basic background music for free, or you can supply music from any personal CD that you have, or you can tell us the names, artists, or type of music that you would like to use, and we can mix it onto the DVD for you
What if I don't know what's on the films? Is there any way to view the films before I transfer them to DVD?
Yes, you have two options:

We can transfer the films to an external hard drive or USB flash drive that you would take home to view on your computer to sort, and determine what you do or do not want.

Let us work with you to determine the order. We will transfer the films for you to view on our computers, and have you come in on a later date to work with you one on one to determine the chronological order, which films to omit, and to edit parts of film that you would like to exclude from your final DVD Video
I want to edit and create my own videos from my transferred films. Can I receive video files to do this?
Yes. We can convert your film to AVI video files, MPEG-2 files, or MPEG-4 files that can be used in any video editing program. We can transfer them to data DVD's, portable external hard drives, or USB flash drives.
Video Tapes Transfers
How many hours of video can fit on a DVD?
Up to 2 hours of video will fit on a single layer type DVD, and up to 3 1/2 hours of video can fit onto a dual layer type DVD.
Can multiple videos be combined to make a single DVD?
Yes. We can combine as many videos together from multiple video formats to produce a final DVD up to 3 hrs in length.
Are you able to restore my videos?
If the video is dark, needs color restoration, or if the audio is bad, when are able to correct and restore all these problems.
What if I don't know what's on my video tapes, but I want to create a custom DVD from my videos?
Yes. We can create a custom DVD from as many videos, pictures, and formats as you like, and compile it together to make your final DVD.
To request this you would either:

Write down the times of the video that you would like to edit out and submit it with you order.

Transfer the full videos to our hard drives, and schedule a separate one on one editing session to determine the areas you would like edit out. (Call for more details)
I want to edit and create my own videos from my converted video tapes. Can I receive video files to do this?
Yes. We can convert your videos to AVI video files, MPEG-2 files, or MPEG-4 files that can be used in any video editing program. We can transfer them to data DVD's, portable external hard drives, or USB flash drives.
Audio Tape Digitizing
Do you restore my audio before transferring it to CD?
Yes. We digitally restore all audio to remove crackling, hiss, noise, and any other problems associated with older audio.
How many minutes of audio fit on one CD?
Though most CD's bought in stores can only hold a maximum of 80mins, we stock a special type of CD that can hold a maximum of 91 minutes.
Are multiple tracks created on CD to separate different songs or breaks?
Yes. We will separate each song or break onto its own track, and you'll be able to browse through it like any other CD.
Can audio be downloaded from a smart phone or recording device and put onto CD?
Yes, audio from virtually any iPhone, iPad, smart phone, or digital device can be transferred to regular CD.
Can I transfer my audio collection of CD's to a USB flash drive that I can use in my new car's USB port?
Yes, we provide a mass CD archival service that will archive your entire collection of CD's to Mp3 format on USB flash drive.
I don't want a CD, but rather a Mp3 data disc or USB flash drive containing all my audio. Is this something you can do?
Yes. We can convert all your audio to Mp3 format, and transfer it to CD data disc, DVD data disc, or USB flash drive. You can play hours of music from a single data disc on your CD player if it supports the format, or play music from your USB flash drive by connection to the USB port in your car radio.
What dpi do you scan my slides at?
Level 1 & Level 2 slides are scanned at 2500dpi, and Level 3 slides are scanned at 4000dpi. We can also change the dpi level to accompany special requests.
Do you restore, repair or remove dust from scanned images?
Yes. If you choose our Level 3 option for scanning your slides or negatives to digital, this service includes a crop, color restoration, and digital dust removal.
How many 35mm slides or pictures fit on a DVD slide show?
Approximately 900 35mm slides or pictures (2hrs maximum) will fit on a single DVD slide show.
How long is each photo displayed for on screen during the slide show?
By default, each photo is displayed for 8 seconds each, but we can also change this amount to be longer or shorter depending on personal preference, time limits, or if we are creating a custom slide show with music that will need to fit accordingly.
Can I stop or pause on a photo during the slide show?
Yes. At anytime during the slide show, simply press pause on your remote to stop on a photo.
Can video be mixed with a photo slide show?
Yes, we can mix any video format together with still pictures to create a custom video or DVD slide show.
Can I add text or sub-titles to a slide show?
Yes, we can add titles, credits, graphics, and sub-titles to any DVD slide show.
I want to be able to view, print, email, or share online my scanned slides. Can I receive a DVD disc or a USB flash drive that can allows me to do this?
Yes. We can create a data CD, DVD or USB flash drive containing all your scanned slides in either JPEG, BMP, TIFF, or PDF format that can be used for any of the above purposes.
